Projects

Pull Project

With its Pull Project, launched in late 2022, the Swiss Round Table on Antibiotics aspires to make a Swiss contribution to securing the availability of existing antibiotics and the revival of novel antibiotic development by means of an innovative incentive scheme.

Building on pull incentives that have been discussed by the international community for many years and can be tailored to national healthcare systems, the Pull Project’s roadmap navigates the following major steps:

  1. Reviewing, analysing and assessing relevant pull incentive schemes and experiences gained in other countries

  2. Selecting, tailoring and specifying a pull incentive scheme deemed suitable for Switzerland

  3. Piloting the scheme in Switzerland, with concurrent performance monitoring and evaluation

  4. Adopting the scheme as a regular tool in the Swiss healthcare system
